Congratulations to all swimmers taking part in this year’s Club Championships. It was particularly nice to see so many D squad swimmers and parents at the event especially as the swimmers are still learning their racing skills.

HAGUE INTERNATIONAL GRAND PRIX NETHERLANDS, FEBRUARY 2016

Huge congratulations to Ffion Butler on her first International competition abroad.

She was selected as part of a small group of developmental Welsh Para-swimmers to compete abroad in the Hague Grand Prix in Holland. This meet was being used to expose the swimmers to an International event, for them to gain invaluable experience of a different competition environment, and also a warm-up meet for April’s GB Rio para-trials in Glasgow. Competing across the 3 day meet, Ffion had some promising swims and recorded some very strong times, making 2 finals. A solid overall performance for her first International competition and also one completed whilst in hard training!!
