Sponsors provide kit for swimmers

Shrewsbury swimmers will be applying modern technology to enhance their training sessions thanks to the generosity of the local Masters group and three local businesses.

A cheque was presented to the club by the Shrewsbury Masters swimmers at a recent training session which will go towards the clubs training equipment budget. This was the latest donation following generous sponsorship by Vic Breeze (Hairdresser), Claremont Hair Salon, Miller Evans (Estate Agents), Pooks (Estate Agents),  Christophers Fine Foods and Howell Williams (Solicitors) who had previously funded the purchase of a set of heart rate monitors for the swimmers.

Pool hire and coaching fees account for virtually all of the clubs income and without this assistance, the club would not be able to keep pace with technology and allow the swimmers to develop their full potential.

The club is currently investigating the use of land training equipment and anti-wave lane ropes - if there is anyone out there who could offer sponsorship, please contact the club secretary Stuart Highfield on Shrewsbury 242892
